Where's is good in "Goodbye"

A late 16th century word originated from "English", usually used as a contraction of 'God be with you!'.
But today it's usually belonged as the word to impress, when someone says goodbye. Then the receiver usually replies is such a poetic-cum-romantic way, Oh yeah! Where's good in goodbye dear.
Which reminds me the situation of Lt. Dev Anand in the movie Hum Dono (1961) saying "अभी न जाओ छोडकर... की दिल अभी भरा नहीं"
Even a Rock Band named "The Script", made a video on it "No good in goodbye"
But as far as I consider, there is not only good (Positive adjective) in saying goodbye, a far better than than that (Comparative or maybe Superlative adjective) it's Better or even Best to say goodbye.
Saying goodbye means you are detaching yourself from a person and "moving on"!
It enables you to give more time to spend with yourself, thinking about welfare and uplifting the self, enjoying the every aspect of life in such a wonderful manner as no one is doing! Just sitting in a comfortable place and 'staring at stars' (How many days happened without sating at stars, enjoying the beauty of the Universe).

जिंदगी जिंदादिली का नाम है
तू ठहर मत, बस चलते जा
कुछ पल ठिठक के
टिमटिमाते गगन में लुकाछिपी करते
असंख्य तारों से बतिया

कुछ देर तो ठहर
कुछ उनकी सुन
कुछ अपनी बता

फिर आगे बढ़,
निरंतर बढ़ते जा
जिंदगी जिंदादिली का नाम है
तू ठहर मत, बस चलते जा
